In this course students identify (or are presented with) a population of learners and high-level learning goals. Students translate those goals into concrete performance objectives and design learning environments to teach the targeted skills. Learning Sciences students may work on Carnegie Mellon-related projects, or students who are part-time and working for a company may design training for that company instead. Recent projects include: assisting in the early stages of the design of a curriculum for a university course in management of software systems development participating in the design and development of scenarios and tasks for a university course to teach modes of reasoning about technical problems to people transitioning to technical careers designing a story-board and high-fidelity mock-ups for a training course for sales people at a major telecommunications company
