An advanced course in writing screenplays, the class will be concerned with challenging you to take creative risks with genre, tone, character, and structure. Exploring alternative approaches beyond the traditional three-act structure, we will first define the conventional approach, suggest alternatives, and then provide contemporary, as well as, classic examples to demonstrate what works, and what doesn't, and why.
